Although this site is all about reviews of fitness equipment, I recently bought myself a power inversion table for relieving my back pain and I like it so decided to review it.
The table is simply called Power Inversion Table and its produced by a company called Fit Plus. I have a regular swinging type table also but I realize now a power table is much better, for me at least - easier on my shoulders and so easy to find a good position.
Let's discuss the features:
Power Inversion Table features:
- PRICE - the first thing of note is definitely the price, its $799 (UPDATE: the manufacturer currently has an Internet sale, keep reading). To put that price in perspective for you, most power inversion tables usually retail for $1000 to $1500. I research the hell out of everything before I buy and you are pretty much stuck in that price range for something decent.
When I found this unit for $799, I did the second thing I always do before I buy an expensive piece of equipment... I tried to find a coupon, and you know what? I didn't find one BUT while I was procrastinating the manufacturer decided to have a sale for $399 and reduced the shipping by about $100. I ended up saving about $500 which was pleasing.
- LIFETIME WARRANTY - it comes with a 1 year warranty standard but you can purchase a 3 or 5 year or lifetime extended warrant y. The lifetime is only $99.95 so that's what I got, you can't beat a lifetime warranty and considering the price I paid for this table I considered the warranty as free anyway.
- INVERSION ANGLE - 80 degrees. That's just about upside down without putting all the load on your ankles. You have a small hand control which allows you to adjust the angle to suit yourself.
- POWER -
If you have ever used a non-powered table then you know that the moment you lift your arms you swing back into the upright position. That has always annoyed me because sometimes I want to use both hands to adjust my position but I inevitably swing back up... not anymore. There is a handheld control panel that will invert and return with the simple push of a button.
- CAPACITY - 300lbs and height adjustableto suit user from 4' to 6'6"
- SAFETY RAILS - if you hang long enough on a non-powered unit I can almost guarantee you will begin to get sore shoulders, but if you move them you'll swing back up. The reason for the soreness is in the arm over head position there is impingement of a few rotator cuff muscles (supraspinatus and possiby subscapularis). With a powered table and these hand rails, you can put your arms in a side position by gripping the side rails.
They also prevent you from slipping off the side of the table, which happened to me on a table without these sidebars when I was reaching for my book on the floor.
- FRAME - sturdy rust-proof steel frame with low center of gravity design for stability. 2 inch foam padded nylon stitched back pad.
- ANKLE LOCK - comfortable foam ankle lock

DIMENSIONS - Height 26" x Width 16" x Length 37" and Weight 82 lbs. That's straight from their site, I didn't measure it myself but it is easy to move around.
Pros of this Power Inversion Table
- Price, price, price - I'm still bragging about the price I paid for this unit. I saved $500 of an already low priced table. That saving will only apply if the sale is still on, you'll have to click through to check.
- Quality - this machine is a lot better quality than I was expecting. It makes me wonder what kind of a profit margin there must be on similar tables selling for $1500 (ripoff).
- Lifetime warranty - once you've owned as much home exercise equipment as I have, you'll never buy without a lifetime warranty if you can. It was a huge bonus when I saw I could get a lifetime warranty here.
- Easy assembly - home fitness equipment never arrives assembled but this unit is simple. I had it up and running in about 25 minutes.
Cons of this Power Inversion Table
- Open ankle lock - I have not experienced any problems, I think its just a left over from my previous tables which both completely locked me in. Once I get used to it I'll probably be fine.
Overall
The Power Inversion table by Fit Plus has everything you could possibly want in a power inversion table, including lifetime warranty and depending on which price you get it for, you may buy it for 25% the cost of a similar machine.
