Best elliptical trainer is quite a call but we think the Proform 700 deserves "best elliptical trainer". We think so because it has everything going for it including a reasonable price. Now there are certainly other machines worthy of "best elliptical trainer" but they are way more expensive.

Overall
The Proform 700 is a great machine that we rate highly. Its dual action design means an upper and lower body workout at the same time. The computer has 6 programs and its iFIT.com compatibility opens up a huge number of workout possibilities like marathon or half marathon training. It is also a large step up from some of the cheaper models that isn't really reflected in the price.
Just be warned there have been some reported issues with the flywheel but it only effects a very small number of machines.
